Hello Everyone!
It's been awhile since I last posted. Sometimes I can be pretty bad about writing what's up and then I lose all track of time. I'll try and do better, I promise. I want to update you all on what has been going on at this end. I have started bass lessons, along with the guitar lessons and it seems to be going nicely. I also have a new studio that I am teaching in that I am really excited about. I just started moving stuff in so as soon as I am settled into it, I will post some pictures for your viewing pleasure. I can not stress enough about building a foundation on learning your instrument. It is where we all must start and continuously build on. Learning your notes, the fretboard, your chords and practicing the same thing over and over isn't exciting I know, but it is where we begin our finger memory and where we must listen to what we are doing. We have to learn our ABCs in order to learn how to spell, we need to learn 1+1=2 in order to learn harder mathematics. Be patient with yourself, make it fun. You can do this and depending on how far you want to take it then only YOU can decide what you are willing to sacrifice for it. My band Steel Wynd is doing great! We have started working on originals and have been playing in the Bowling Green, Toledo Ohio area. Check out our Facebook page for upcoming shows and make sure you LIKE us while you are there. If you come to a show, come over and say hello and by all means practice everyday!!! https://www.facebook.com/steelwynd Talk to you soon! Debbie

Hello fellow musicians!
I know it's been awhile but so much has happened since my last post. My band Steel Wynd has all its members in place and new students continue to sign up. Since a lot of my students are new to playing the guitar, a lot of my parents of the younger students are not sure of what to purchase, so I am going to start keeping extra accessories on hand such as guitar strings, manuscript paper, tuners and guitar straps. Prices will be kept low and fair. Many of our "Mom & Pop" stores are going out of business because of the big chain stores and that familiarity is disappearing. So I would like to offer what I can to my students. If you need something just let me know and if I currently do not have it on hand, I will get it. I am also offering custom made guitar picks which I will post more about with a future post but right now I can tell you they are the only picks my band uses and they are locally crafted with your own design on f Thanks and keep on keeping on! Here is an impromptu video of my band, Steel Wynd. Jaime Rhoades wrote and sang the song. I am playing my 12 string Rogue guitar.
